National Property Tax Platform · Early Access

Your property tax practice runs on Excel, email, and a desktop app from 2005. It doesn't have to.

appealstack is a web-based platform for property tax firms. Parcels, appeals, deadlines, billing, fee splits, and client portals in one system. No more reconciling five tools to answer one question.

Configured to your practice, not the other way around

You already know the workaround routine.

Your tax software does one job. Everything else lives somewhere else.

Fee splits in Excel. Consultant splits, commission math, checks and balances, all maintained by hand.

Invoices pushed by hand. Calculate in one system, invoice in another, reconcile in your accounting software. Every time.

Client docs everywhere. Shared folders, email threads, attachments nobody can find six months later.

Reports smashed together. Three exports merged into one spreadsheet just to answer a client's question.

No trail. Something changed in the system and nobody knows who did it, when, or why.

None of this is your team's fault. It's the software's.

The Difference

The same work. A fraction of the effort.

Five workflows every firm runs, side by side.

Where AI Fits

Your backup's backup.

We're not building AI to make decisions for you. We're building it so your team gets through more work with the judgment they already have.

No more manual data entry.

Upload a document, a PDF, or a screenshot, and appealstack builds the client, the property, and the parcels from it.

A second set of eyes on deadlines.

Board order overdue? Litigation window opening? The system flags what's slipping before it slips.

More parcels per analyst.

The prep work that eats an afternoon happens in the background, so your people can analyze fifty properties in the time it used to take to do five.

Your team stays in control. The software just stops wasting their time.

Who It's For

Purpose-built for property tax professionals

Designed alongside practitioners who protest commercial and personal property values for a living, in every state they operate.

Property tax consulting firms.

Firms managing hundreds to thousands of RE and PP parcels across multiple states, with consultant networks and fee structures that vary by client, contract, and jurisdiction.

In-house corporate tax teams.

Internal teams managing a national portfolio who need one source of truth across jurisdictions, tax years, and deadlines.

Practices ready to modernize.

Teams on legacy desktop software or spreadsheets who've outgrown their tools. We migrate your existing data, and you run appealstack in parallel until you're ready.

Who Built This

We've been in your shoes. That's why this exists.

appealstack wasn't dreamed up by a software team that discovered property tax last year. The people who shaped, tested, and built this platform have a combined 40+ years running property tax operations. Consultants, admins, and operators who've filed the appeals, chased the board orders, kept the fee split spreadsheets alive, and lived inside the legacy software this replaces. Every screen in appealstack exists because someone who did the job for a living asked for it.

Industry experience built it. Software expertise ships it. You get both.

Not Your Typical SaaS

Out of the box is just the starting point.

appealstack ships with a full platform: parcels, appeals, billing, portals, reporting. But no two firms run appeals the same way. Your fee structures, your terminology, your appeal stages, your reports. So we don't hand you a login and wish you luck.

Your practice isn't cookie-cutter. Neither is this.

Different lifecycle terminology? A field only one client needs? A report your biggest account keeps asking for? appealstack is configured to your practice, so you're never stuck with whatever the software decided you get.

If it has an API, we connect it.

QuickBooks or any accounting software you already run, plus the market data and valuation tools your consultants rely on. We work with your stack instead of forcing you to abandon it.

We move you over by hand.

No rip-and-replace. We load your book, you run appealstack in parallel with your current system, and we tune it against real work until switching is the obvious call rather than a leap of faith.

It keeps getting better after you sign.

appealstack has a standing engineering team behind it, shipping improvements from partner feedback every cycle. This isn't software that looks the same in 2030.

You run the practice. We run the platform. That's the deal.

Early Access

We're not selling you finished software. We're building it with you.

We're opening a small number of pilot partnerships with firms who want a direct line to the team building the product.

Your feedback is the roadmap.

Pilot partners talk straight to the builders. What you ask for is what ships next.

Branded to your firm.

Your reports, your client portal, your name on everything, powered by appealstack underneath.

Partner pricing.

Pilot firms lock in terms that won't exist once this is a finished product.

Three pilot spots. That's not a launch tactic, it's the whole program. Once they're filled, the door closes and future firms come in as customers, not partners.

Questions every firm asks us

Yes. Invoicing is native to the platform, so invoices, terms, payment tracking, and fee calculations all live in one place with no separate system required. If you'd rather keep your existing accounting software, we connect to QuickBooks and any other accounting tool with an API. Like everything in appealstack, the billing workflow gets set up around how your firm operates, not the other way around.

That's the design center, not an edge case. Assessment cycles, ratios, jurisdictions, and reporting requirements vary wildly by state, and appealstack is built to carry those differences instead of pretending every state works the same way.

So is everyone's. Splits that vary by client contract, by state, by consultant, by parcel. Define them once and payouts calculate automatically when values settle. The Excel checks-and-balances routine goes away.

No. We load a slice of your book and you run appealstack in parallel with your current system. You switch when it's earned it, not because you burned the boats.

Then we build it. appealstack is configured per firm by the appealstack team. If your workflow needs a field, a stage, a report, or an integration that doesn't exist yet, that's a conversation, not a dead end.

They don't have to change how they work for it to work. Everything still arrives by email, sent from appealstack, and clicking through opens the document in the portal where you can see it was viewed. Clients can upload files to a shared space instead of digging through old threads, and clients who prefer email can keep emailing your team. Either way, everything lands in the system, attached to the right client and parcel.

The unglamorous work that eats your team's time. It turns uploaded documents into client and parcel records, and it watches deadlines so nothing slips. It doesn't make decisions, it doesn't work appeals, and your team is always in the loop. It's the backup's backup.

A small software team working alongside property tax operators with 40+ years of combined experience running agencies. This wasn't built for the industry from the outside. It was built from inside it.
